The Hellenic Psychodrama Association was founded in July 2024 in Athens, by certified psychodramatists with the shared vision of developing and promoting psychodrama in Greece. The Association aims to reveal the therapeutic value of psychodrama as a tool for self-awareness, personal development, improvement of interpersonal relationships, trauma therapy, treatment of societal injuries due to social injustice and support of vulnerable social groups through seminars, workshops and scientific events.<\/p>

The founding members of the Association are certified psychodrama psychotherapists trained according to the contemporary methods of psychodrama aiming to promote the effectiveness of this psychotherapeutic approach to broader audiences. Moreover, the Hellenic Psychodrama Association focuses on the continuous development of its members through continuous training. It encourages the spreading of psychodrama in various fields such as psychotherapy, education, social work, and its application in organizations. \u00a0<\/p>

The founding of the Hellenic Psychodrama Association constitutes an important step for the promotion and development of psychodrama in Greece, offering a reliable scientific space for psychodrama psychotherapists, psychodrama trainees and any professional in the field of mental health interested in the method, for encounter and scientific dialogue.<\/p>

The Hellenic Psychodrama Association participates, representing psychodrama, in the Network for Therapies through Arts in Greece, and collaborates with international psychodrama and group therapy organisations and associations, aiming to the exchange of knowledge and the continuous development of the method.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The objectives of the Hellenic Psychodrama Association, as stated in Article 2 of its Charter, include:<\/p>

a) the study, development, promotion, and dissemination of Psychodrama across Greece as a philosophical and psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on personal growth, mental health advancement, and treatment of psychological disorders. This aim also encompasses the promotion of healthy communication in all social group formats and the development of individual and collective values and beliefs to improve interpersonal and social relationships.<\/p>

b) ensuring compliance with the educational prerequisites and criteria that lead to the designation of Psychodramatist, as specified in this Charter.<\/p>

c) informing the general public and civil society institutions about Psychodrama and its applications.<\/p>

d) defending and promoting research in Psychodrama.<\/p>

e) reinforcing, advancing, and supporting the members and educational institutions involved in psychodrama in Greece, fostering a spirit of solidarity and fellowship.<\/p>

f) serving, protecting, and promoting the shared professional, economic, and ethical interests of its members.<\/p>

g) ensuring adherence to the code of conduct and professional practice outlined in the Charter.<\/p>

h) supporting the continuous education and professional development of its members.<\/p>

i) actively participating in addressing social issues affecting the Greek population.<\/p>

The vision of the Hellenic Psychodrama Association is based on three key pillars.<\/strong><\/p>

A. Strengthening fellowship and trust among Greek psychodramatists through the creation of a network that promotes<\/p>

  • the exchange of views and perspectives for the benefit of professional psychodramatists,<\/li>
  • cooperation aimed at expanding professional opportunities,<\/li>
  • participation in scientific activities to share knowledge and experiences, and<\/li>
  • mutual support and solidarity.<\/li><\/ul>

    B. Promoting the dissemination and recognition of psychodrama as a scientific approach within the mental health field for individuals and society, achieved through:<\/p>

    • connections with other scientific psychotherapeutic approaches,<\/li>
    • participation in conferences and scientific events in mental health,<\/li>
    • partnerships with governmental agencies involved in the study, proposal, and legislation of programs relating to mental health.<\/li><\/ul>

      C. Connecting Greek psychodramatists with international colleagues to foster knowledge and experience exchange through:<\/p>

      • joint scientific initiatives,<\/li>
      • collaborative programs to promote the application of psychodrama internationally, and<\/li>
